This is one of the most adorable Pride posts I’ve ever seen
What I love about the imagery of the turtle is that it’s sending the message that they are protecting themselves by being in their shell. It’s not about deceiving straight people (like we are often told), but about the turtle’s own safety. They’ll come out when the time is right and they feel comfortable. 💕🏳️🌈
A group of people were traveling in a boat. One of them took a drill and began to drill a hole beneath himself.
His companions said to him: “Why are you doing this?” Replied the man: “What concern is it of yours? Am I not drilling under my own place?”
Said they to him: “But you will flood the boat for us all!” (Quoted in Midrash Rabbah, Vayikra 4:6).
It’s basically saying how one person’s action has a ripple affect of other people, much like the domino effect, one bad deed will affect many lives in a negative way.
There’s a saying I learned a long time ago as a child. I didn’t understand it as well then as I do now.

why did it censor out something she said. what did she say. let her speak
Okay so what she says (from what I can figure out, please correct me if I get something wrong) is basically:
“Alright today we’re gonna teach everybody the Proper way to open a pomegranate. First you’re gonna make four cuts in a square on its ass, top and bottom, side to side, cut cut cut, and then take this piece of the skin off. Now you COULD not follow my instructions and cut it in half right down the middle; however, you’re gonna end up cutting into the fruit, sending juice flying all over the fuckin place and your girlfriend is gonna beat your *ss and leave you; SO, it’s better to follow my directions using the cut cut cut method. Then, in a star shape make more cuts and pull back the pieces, and presto there you have a beautiful pomegranate flower; tell me that isn’t the prettiest fucki-“

“American policing is a thick blue tumor strangling the life from our communities and if you don’t believe it when the poor and the marginalized say it, if you don’t believe it when you see cops across the country shooting journalists with less-lethal bullets and caustic chemicals, maybe you’ll believe it when you hear it straight from the pig’s mouth.”
