“The left wing economic establishment”- does she mean…. uh…. the city? Who were a bit upset when she tanked the fucking economy….

Or, if she’s serious, then let’s do another?

By Gary Wilson

The chairman of NATO’s Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, called for members of the U.S.-led military alliance to shift to a “war economy” in order to “increase the production in the defense industry.”

Left unsaid is that a “war economy” means austerity. A “war economy” is the NATO countries’ answer to the cost-of-living crisis sweeping Europe.

I have so many feelings about the nursing scandal and I am still in disbelief. I want heads on a damn pike!!!! Imagine how many people have died because of this?!?!?!

What scandal?

That explains a lot about American nursing

workingclasshistory:

On this day, 5 February 1919, 140 workers in the anarchist Confederación Nacional del Trabajo union walked out on strike against the sacking of eight workers in the La Canadiense hydroelectric plant in Catalonia. Three days later, almost all the other employees joined them.
A week on, 80% of textile workers in Barcelona walked out in support of them, as did electrical workers. By 21 February power workers across the city walked out, shutting 70% of firms in Catalonia.
The government tried to publish a call to workers to join the army to try to break the strike but print workers refused to print it, or anything critical of strikers, then all the transport workers walked out.
In late March the authorities conceded to all demands, reinstating the sacked workers and introducing a maximum eight-hour working day.
