I’m only posting this because I haven’t seen anyone else post about it on Tumblr. Recently, two South Indian men, a father and his son- Jeyaraj and Fenix -were taken into custody by the police for keeping their store open for 15 minutes longer than the curfew allowed during the coronavirus lockdown in Tamil Nadu. Instead of a fair trial, these men were tortured to death in their jail cells.

The only action taken against the police officers who did this to them was that they were asked to transfer to other branches and Jeyaraj and Fenix’s family was paid off by the government.

Whilst Bollywood celebrities posted black squares and other images in support of the BLM movement, they refuse to speak about police brutality in their own country. I’m not saying that their support towards BLM is wrong but it comes off as performative when they cheer for change in other countries and stay silent when the same thing happens here.

Police brutality in India against Muslims, dark skinned people and people from poor backgrounds is very common.

They also arrested a Muslim woman who is pregnant, for peacefully protesting CAA NRC.

TRIGGER WARNING - TORTURE, POLICE BRUTALITY, BLOOD

Please reblog and help spread awareness about this. Thank you.

Fabio Frizzi - Zombie

tenaflyviper:

I have always been a fan of Fabio Frizzi’s hauntingly beautiful scores, and the main theme from Fulci’s Zombie exemplifies the eerie beauty in his melodies.  It is nowhere near as magnificent as his work on The Beyond (1981), but it is still an iconic theme in the horror genre.
