Believe me, there is no such thing as great suffering, great regret, great memory… everything is forgotten, even great love. That’s what’s sad about life, and also what’s wonderful about it. There is only a way of looking at things, a way that comes to you every once in a while.
Because you seem to have missed the point, let us explain it to you in excruciating detail: right-wing bigoted extremists and terrorist groups like the Threepers & the other “patriotic militias” looove to go on and on and on about how they are the ones standing up to government tyranny and overreach and how they will put their lives on the line to defend the Constitution and FREEDOM! GLORIOUS FREEDOM!!! etc., etc.
But when push comes to shove and the government really is overreaching and violating everyone’s constitutional rights and there are very literally masked, anonymous federal troops occupying cities and essentially acting the way the Gestapo did in Germany in the 1930s - WHERE ARE THE BRAVE FREEDOM-DEFENDING MILITIAMEN??? Nowhere to be found. Almost as if all their flag-waving freedom-defend talk was just talk and they’re as full of shit as the rest of their bigoted ideologies.

Almost as if all their brave talk about fighting government tyranny and defending the Constitution and stepping up to fight for everyone’s freedoms was all just a bunch of lies they told themselves to feel better about being grown-ass men cos-playing soldiers like little kids.
Almost as if they only time they’re willing to step up is to defend their own piggish interests and fuck everyone else.
But we don’t want their help, Anon; we always knew this to be true about them and truthfully, the country would be a lot better off if they’d finally fuck off, grow up, and find a new hobby instead of pretending like their heroes standing up for freedom.
We got this and when we come out of this with a more just world where people aren’t living in abject terror because of their skin color, religion, immigration status, gender or sexual orientation, or disabilities, we’ll all remember who sat on their fucking hands and refused to stand up for the values they claim to be the defenders of.
This blog is mostly so I can vent my feelings and share my interests. Other than that, I am nothing special.
