Brilliant turnout at the (non trot organised this time) Black Lives Matter protest in Dundee on Sunday, and £900 collected for the Justice for Sheku Bayoh campaign! Sheku Bayoh was murdered by Police Scotland 5 years ago, immediately after which they lied to his family and friends about the circumstances of his death. 5 years on and nobody has been held accountable. You can donate to the Justice for Sheku Bayoh campaign here.
All the speakers were incredible - especially the two young poets, Amanda Mandy and Courtney Ama Stoddart - and fnb were there quietly handing out food, water, hand-sanitiser, and masks. The following photos of the speakers aren’t mine but were already shared publicly by Damian Stewart on facebook:
if any of my Scottish followers are able to get through to Dunfermline this Saturday 1st August, there’s a Black Lives Matter protest there too, details: https://www.facebook.com/events/934518503656437/
An independent low budget b&w creature feature. This cheaper version of “The Creature From the Black Lagoon” inhabits the California coast around the Piedras Blancas Lighthouse.
A decent monster saves a sluggish and poorly scripted movie. The total cost of production was $29,000.
This blog is mostly so I can vent my feelings and share my interests. Other than that, I am nothing special.
