Oof, I hate to admit that it has been a little over a year since my last painting. Granted, I have been painting some figures in that duration, including a Playmates Gigan recently. Good practice, since I’m literally using the same paints and brushes, but it’s obviously not the same.

But customizing the aforementioned Gigan, I used a really neat shade of bluish-green, and I felt that was the push I needed to make this. Yeah, it’s a small 5x7, but it’s a painting nonetheless, and I’m glad I took the time to make it.

Yep. It was originally mail-order, but they opened their first retail store in 1963.

Also discovered that Spencers owns the Spirit Halloween stores, which explains why they always know where the empty stores are in the malls.
