The test they were using was meant to confirm COVID-19 after a person becomes symptomatic (to confirm that the person has COVID and not something else like the flu). It’s very accurate when used to confirm a diagnosis. It was not meant to be used as a screening test. It is not accurate when used as a screening test. These people literally didn’t read the fucking instruction manual.
In a flailing attempt (what does he ever do that isn’t flailing?) to somehow pretend the current 25th Amendment buzz isn’t all about him, Donald Trump appeared to step in a big pile of “shit, this isn’t going well, is it?” this morning.
Graham won’t take a covid test and so his debate with Harrison was cancelled.
The Republican strategy now is obvious: don’t take any more covid tests, because if they do, someone might turn up positive, and that will throw off the Supreme Court confirmation hearings.
Particularly if it’s the head of the Judiciary Committee who’s sick.
And who cares if they infect more people through their selfishness.
