oooookkkaaaaayyy this is fucking hilarious. so the conference is about election disinformation and they’re claiming that the email threats going out in Alaska, Arizona, and Florida claiming to come from the Proud Boys was actually from IRAN!
they also said Russia is *probably* doing some similar disinformation shit like my dudes have you seen the shit that our own politicians and oligarchs have been spewing? i don’t give a FUCK about alleged disinformation coming from anywhere when we do a pretty good job at disinformation ourselves LMFAOOO
So this whole thing was hilarious.
1. The FBI is claiming that FUCKING IRAN is behind the threatening Proud Boys emails being sent to voters in several state. The threatening emails are telling people to vote FOR Trump and threatening them to change their party affiliation FOR Trump but the FBI is seriously saying that Iran is behind this to hurt Trump. Literally saying that the emails are intended to “incite social unrest and damage President Trump.” ok, buds.
2. Investigative journalists tracking this story found that the emails were routed through Saudi Arabia and Estonia. This doesn’t mean that the emails necessarily came from here either, but it shows that there are many steps being taken to hide who sent these emails.
