A Democratic Senate Majority Might Be Back On The Table!!!
With Atlanta votes coming in tonight, the Republican nominee is falling under the 50% mark that Georgia requires for an outright win.
If it can be kept that way. That means they will go to a runoff in January where the Democratic nominee could be voted in!!!
One of the Georgia races is definitely going to a runoff already.
If the Democratic nominees can win both races, then that would give the Democrats a +1 majority in the Senate due to VP Harris being the tie breaker vote.
People, start paying attention to the Senate races again!!!!
If Biden wins the Presidential race, Georgia needs to be the focus over the next few months.

Both Perdue and Loeffler were investigated back in spring 2020 for pandemic-related insider trading. They were both present at a classified briefing on the dangers of coronavirus back in January and instead of warning their constituents, they chose to use that information to sell stocks and make money, and both were shown to have invested in PPE companies shortly after the briefing. The investigation was dropped in June, but the fact remains that Loeffler and Perdue very likely made money from nonpublic information.
Both Perdue and Loeffler have also repeatedly downplayed the severity of coronavirus, voted against protections for people with pre-existing conditions, and are staunchly anti-LGBTQ. (Links are to their voting records, which are public information.)
On the blue side, John Ossoff is an investigative journalist with a strong track record of fighting against corruption. Rev. Raphael Warnock is a pastor at MLK’s former church and has done a lot of work for Medicare and the Affordable Care Act. In addition, if elected, Ossoff and Warnock have committed to co-sponsoring and voting in favor of the Equality Act, which would finally guarantee EXPLICIT protections for LGBTQ people under existing civil rights laws.
Also, if you are a Georgia resident and you are or will be 18+ by January 5, 2021, make sure you’re registered to vote by December 7th, 2020. Check your registration status if you’re already registered, since there have been incidents of voter roll purges in recent years. Go to Georgia.gov for further info.
This isn’t just about getting a majority. This is about making sure our healthcare and our communities are protected, and that things can actually get done in Congress during the first two years of President-Elect Biden’s term.
Local elections MATTER, so get out there and vote for your state and local reps on Dec. 1st, 2020 and for your federal reps on Jan. 5th, 2021. We believe in you, Georgia!
