On this day, 13 May 1949, Black communist singer and actor Paul Robeson visited Woolmet colliery near Edinburgh. After meeting with miners and union members, he performed a beautiful rendition of his song, “I dreamed I saw Joe Hill last night” to the workers in the local union hall. Earlier in the decade he portrayed a miner working in Wales.

no bc u guys are pissing me off, u guys dont really understand how the free palestine movement and blm are related… israel both oppresses palenstians and black people but yall wanna bring down blm to uplift a movement
first and foremost, there are afro Palestinians. i said this many times on my blog and its makes me upset that i dont really see people mentioning them bc they are affected the most bc they are Black and Palestinian.
secondly, israrel treats Ethiopian Jewish people terribly because they is black. they constantly deports them back to Ethiopia and separates them from they families.
lastly, israel also trains many African military forces. for example they train forces from Nigeria, Togo, Ghana, Ethiopia, Zambia, Angola, Malawi. these are just a few examples. the idf and africom are working together with African nations to further destabilize them and attempt to colonize them, basically neo colonialism. training African forces is just one of the techniques they use to do this.
so what this means that the destruction and downfall of israel and the zionist movement does not only liberate Palestinians, it also put bring Black people closer to liberation.
