Emergency Town Hall Meeting: Maryland’s Unemployment Benefit Crisis
Thursday, June 10 - 7 pm to 8:30 pm
We will highlight the testimony of unemployed workers, representatives, and their supporters!
Governor Hogan and Labor Secretary Tiffany Robinson received invitations. They must hear directly from the unemployed.
We have also included invites to Senate President Bill Ferguson, Kathy Klausmeier, co-chair General Assembly unemployment committee, and other state representatives.
The Unemployed Workers Union demands that Governor Hogan halt the early curtailment of the federal pandemic benefits. The Labor Department must immediately pay the thousands of unemployed workers who have yet to receive owed benefits.
The Town Hall is a statewide event. You must register to participate. REGISTER HERE

In honor of our 7th anniversary, each day this month we will post one of our favorite antifascist actions from around the world from the past year!
Today: June 9, 2020 - Protesters in Richmond, Virginia tore down a statue of Christopher Columbus, burned an American flag on top of it and then dumped the statue in a lake. The next day, on June 10th, Protesters led by indigenous activists tore down a statue of Christopher Columbus in St. Paul, Minnesota.
Some wonderful Mothman drawings by the equally wonder Matt “Wib” Ward shared here with their permission.
Please go check them out and support them. They do incredible art, make wicked YouTube videos and podcasts on nerdy stuff with their partner and friends, stream regularly, and are all around a good bean.
Also, Mon Mothman
<3_<3
I lost it at “Mon Mothman”
Please follow and support Wib on Twitter and all the places so that he can keep making Mothmans
Let’s make this the year of MOTHMANIA :D
