The Offspring - The Meaning Of Life

The Offspring: The Meaning Of Life

“The Meaning Of Life” was the first Offspring song I ever knowingly heard (I heard “Come Out And Play” before that I just wasn’t aware that it was Offspring I was listening to). Ixnay On The Hombre was such a badass skater punk/rock album and Dexter Hollands voice fit the So. Cal sound coming out at that time. “The Meaning Of Life” is a fast, melodic, and has a pissed off vibe that attract youth to it.

While this album isn’t as good as Smash it is mile’s ahead of Splinter, Rise And Fall Rage And Grace, and a new single I just heard released in Australia titled “Cruising California (Bumpin’ In My Truck)”. Just listen to the new single… god I can only hope it is a mean and cruel joke Offspring it playing on us because dear lord it is bad. Get your shit together Offspring and return to 90’s form.
