Frank Frazetta Cover Art for Tales from the Crypt
Privatization is a very possible outcome as GOP appointees at the highest levels deploy the disaster capitalism playbook from inside the nation’s cherished Postal Service.
Starting today, October 1, 2021, every American will face a real adverse consequence of Donald Trump’s making: slower mail at a higher price.
This is no one-time headline.
These increased costs and delays for tens of millions of pieces of First Class mail will happen six days a week from here on out—unless and until the leadership of the U.S. Postal Service is changed.
I’m on the photographer’s side here.
While it was crappy to deny the photographer food, he/she was denied A MEAL. For the wedding couple’s chicken shit penury, HE/SHE RUINED THEIR ABILITY TO REVISIT THAT DAY FOR THE REST IF THEIR LIVES!
These are not the same in magnitude. People who respond in such a way are evil, which I rate much lower than stinginess, rudeness, or plain chicken shit. It is not a matter of the wedding party being right or good–they were not right and they were not good. It is a matter of scale and the proportion of reaction. The photographer’s reaction was grossly disproportionate to the slight he suffered. It’s the outrageous act of a spoiled rotten two-year old. It’s like the death penalty for a speeding ticket.
Sadly, it’s all too common these days: you offended me do I’m justified in ruining your life.
I have to assume he/she was to be paid for his/her services. But somebody treated him/her rudely, so ruining their memories of that day is OK?!
If the photographer’s action seems justified to you, we will never understand one another, and I hope you seek spiritual and psychological help.
1) It was a personal favor that the photographer was offering, charging only $250 for an 8 hour day +editing and other services. For context, the average wedding photographer charges between $2k-2.5k. So she was offering her services at a one tenth of what they should charge. (Though they were not a professional, just a hobbyist)
2) They were expected to work non-stop throughout the 8 hour day, without food or water, in 110 degree heat.
3) Despite the fact that this was a personal favor from a friend, they were not saved a seat when dinner was served.
4) All the photographer asked for was 15 minutes to eat and get some water. In response the groom said if she stopped working, he wouldn’t pay her. She asked if he was sure, and when he continued to threaten to withhold pay, THEN she deleted the photos and left.
This was a perfectly reasonable decision on behalf of the photographer. She was going out of her way for them for next to no pay and just wanted FIFTEEN MINUTES to refill her water bottles and rest. In response, the groom gave her an ultimatum and then doubled down on his threats.
What, did he expected to not pay her for her work AND receive the photos that she took?
This person is 100% serious. Centrists rlly are insane imagine creating this whole hypothetical to justify why stealing baby formula is wrong 😭😭
their works cited is a wet dream they had about ronald reagan
Obsessed with this business not making a profit but also donating money to multiple organizations god bless
I don’t know who he is, but he’s burnt and he wears a weird hat and a red and green sweater, really dirty, and he uses these knives, like giant fingernails.
