Kinda meta how U.S. audiences have been heaping praise on South Korean film & TV critiquing SK hypercapitalism without any apparent awareness or reflection of how their country has helped build said hypercapitalism through war, occupation, militarization, structural adjustment
The US invaded to preserve capitalism in SK, then built its industries to supply US military interventions in SEA, prop up Japan as a regional bulwark against communism, and be a forever buyer of US weapons. This is not some essential “Asiatic capital” that exists out of context

Supply chain bottlenecks don’t originate from COVID-19. The bottlenecks were introduced back in the 1970s by what is called “just in time” manufacturing. Manufacturers no longer have big inventories of parts. For global manufacturers, everything is now “off-shored.” Everything from parts to completed products are made globally and then shipped to where they are needed.
With the anarchy of capitalist production, it’s never known what will be needed or when — not overall for the whole economy.
Unsurprisingly, the “patriotic communist” guy who records videos with a giant American flag behind him decided to arbitrarily shit on the Netflix trans employee walkout using the general strike in occupied Korea because obviously those silly trans issues don’t count as Real Proletarian Labor Rights™️. These are the guys accusing you of “splitting the working class” with idpol lol. If they’re not fucking feds they should be getting paid by them cause they’re doing their job for free.
