In addition to hundreds of thousands of police officers, who kill a thousand people a year—in addition to the court system that incarcerates millions—it also takes murderous vigilantes, working with the cops and courts, to maintain this oppressive social order.

Kyle Rittenhouse is the new face of the Republican Party. He represents the future they desire. At the same time, the Democrats remain committed to defending the legitimacy of the court system that exonerated Rittenhouse. They’re complicit.
The courts were never going to heal this society. Some are allowed to benefit from liberal self-defense and gun rights laws—others are not. The court system is one of several interlocking institutions that work together to asymmetrically benefit white men at others’ expense.
No one is coming to save us. Get organized.
