Really cool pathological European red fox(Vulpes vulpes crucigera) skull I got today.
This poor vixen suffered a nasty injury or break to her jaw. Somehow she managed to survive long enough for the bone to heal, although it’s very misshapen. The bone around the injury is extremely dense, and as a result the jaw feels noticeably heavier than a normal fox jaw. This was clearly an old injury as the missing tooth has completely healed over. It must have been very painful and made hunting and even just eating hard, but foxes are tough creatures!
My favorite part of the new Havana syndrome report by the CIA is how people who thought they were the targets of high-end espionage felt disappointed when they found out they were just regular-sick.
The fact that ‘Fry as a pulp fiction damsel in distress’ is a whole sub-genre of official Futurama artwork is the best thing. Especially when there’s official art of both Leela and Bender carrying him. Freeler rights af.
