It’s been forever since I went dancing, but I went to support my favorite DJ•DC and see friends I have not seen in two entire years. I stayed masked the whole time. Also full on into yet another goth phase. (You can’t tell, but the tights are spiderwebs.) #belalugosiisdead #undeadundeadundead #nonemoregoth #dancing #skulls #glitter #ohgodmyfaceontheinternet #yesiam51 #yesthereisafilter #docmartens #over50style #mystyle

A man who wanted to join the protests in Canada’s capital over mask mandates called in a bomb threat so police would waste their time chasing it, authorities said, but he called the wrong Ottawa — a village in Ohio.
The man, a 20-year-old from Akron, Ohio, called the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office twice Monday, said sheriff’s Capt. Brad Brubaker.
The first time he made a bomb threat, and then in a second call he said he had been shot, Brubaker said. That’s when the man found out he was talking with someone in Ohio. …
Oh, the hypocrisy.
James Craig, the former chief of the Detroit Police Department who is currently running as a Republican candidate for governor of Michigan, said he supports the Canadian anti-vaccination protesters who have paralyzed travel across the border with their blockade of trucks.
“I stand with the truckers,” Craig said in a statement issued Friday. “I support all working people who are standing up for personal freedom.”
It seems that if Craig is a defender of the right to protest, he is selective in his support, however.
In 2020, DPD responded with a crackdown when Black Lives Matter protesters, led by local group Detroit Will Breathe, took to the streets of Detroit as part of the wave of protests across the nation against police brutality, following the deaths of Breonna Taylor and George of Floyd.
Craig tried to get ahead of the situation. In a press conference, he said he supported the Minneapolis Police Department firing the four officers involved in Floyd’s death, and even went as far as calling it a “murder.” He also issued a memo to his department reiterating its use-of-force policy, which prohibits neck restraints, and also emphasized the importance of de-escalation in altercations.
Under Craig’s leadership, DPD responded by issuing a curfew. When the protesters defied the curfew, DPD responded by firing tear gas and rubber bullets at them.
In another incident, when BLM protesters blocked the streetcar on Woodward Avenue, DPD again responded with force. …
I’m so sick of people referring to the Disney corporation as “the mouse”.
Mickey Mouse is a character. He is not real. He does not make the decisions that sustain the capitalist nightmare empire the Disney corporation has become. Disney is not a faceless corporation.
THIS is the man in charge. Bob Chapek. Do not let him hide behind a cartoon character. That is what they want, to shift the blame onto something that does not exist, to keep you from addressing the man responsible.
Remember his face, remember his name, and hold him responsible for his actions.
