Island of the Fishmen will be released on Blu-ray and DVD on March 8 via Full Moon Features. Also known is Screamers, the 1979 Italian action-horror movie is inspired by H.G. Wells’ The Island of Dr. Moreau and H.P. Lovecraft’s The Shadow over Innsmouth.
Sergio Martino (Torso, All the Colors of the Dark) directs from a script he co-wrote with Sergio Donati (Once Upon a Time in the West) and Cesare Frugoni (Rabid Dogs). Barbara Bach, Claudio Cassinelli, Richard Johnson, and Joseph Cotten star.
Island of the Fishmen has been newly remastered in high definition from the uncut 35mm original camera negative. No special features are included.
