On this day, 22 March 1974, Scottish workers in the East Killbride Rolls Royce factory refused to work on engines from planes belonging to right-wing dictatorship of general Augusto Pinochet. They kept the refusal up for four years, leaving the engines outside to rust, before they went missing one night. Their story is told in the 2018 film, Nae Pasarán.

Because like, climate change isn’t being caused by one thing. It’s not a Captain Planet villain with a Pollution Ray. So short of Jon just conquering the earth and ordering every company everywhere to stop doing anything to pollute or he’ll put them in the Phantom Zone there isn’t any one thing he could do on his own to fix the problem
