Say “hello” to the gray mouse lemur (Microcebus murinus)! It’s one of the smallest primates alive today, with a body size of about 5 inches (13 centimeters) long and an average weight of 2 ounces (28 grams).

This critter is a member of the ‎Microcebus genus, which consists of more than 20 other miniature-sized mouse lemur species! The arboreal animal lives in Madagascar and is nocturnal, spending most of its day resting in tree crevices and emerging at night to feed on plants, insects, or small invertebrates.
