Without regulation, oversight, and meaningful penalties, capitalism will cut down every tree, poison every body of water, and ruin every environment it touches.

We must replace capitalism. You can’t hope it will do the right thing. It won’t.

You’re implying that with those things, this can be prevented, which is neither true nor this person’s intended message. We had those things, once upon a time, and you know what happened? The capitalist class used their money and power to slowly wear away at them until they functionally didn’t exist anymore. If you create new ones, the process will just start over again. Because that’s what’s in their class interest to do.

Only with their destruction as a class will the threat be defeated.
