Whoa, if that’s all three rail that’s probably pre-war trains that were built on a large scale that’s roughly 2 to 3 times the size of the HO scale common now.
When I was a kid the oldest members of my extended family had them and would build their kits at Christmas as part of decorations, and they were so much bigger than the HO stuff I had at home.
It sounds like O scale equipment is similarly sized and has made a bit of a comeback but with a disconnect between countries. Based on a cursory check it seems crazy expensive.
ok but no one is going to talk about the fact that the democratic and republican parties slowly switched platforms between 1860 to 1930. So technically the democrats of the 1860s had views that aligned with republicans of today. so the democrats he’s talking about are modern day republicans basically. That’s why when people say “republicans freed the slaves” they’re right, but they’re omitting something important.
The most marked switch came when Democrats picked up civil rights. The South switched to the Republican party because they were not willing to support that. The modern demographic of the Republican party was built specifically from an opposition to civil rights.
