Tower houses from the Middle Ages. Tusheti (Georgia).
Tower houses are scattered throughout the numerous mountainous regions of the Caucasus region. These are buildings of 4-5 floors, which were built for defensive purposes. The entrance to the tower was on the second floor and could only be accessed by a removable staircase. In the event of an attack, the inhabitants took refuge there and, having removed the stairs, could resist for a long time.
