Temple of the God Horus at Behdet (Edfu),
detail from the scenes related to the “Feast of the Beautiful Reunion” represented on the “Court of Offerings” (that is the Forecourt):
the sacred river barge of Hathor; in the middle, the shrine with the portable barque of Hathor and the naos where is housed the cult statue of the Goddess.
On the top, the two Goddesses Outo (at left) and Nekhbet (at right) as sacred vultures both holding the ‘shen’-ring with a fan and spreading Their wings in protection; and the Winged Solar Orb (representing Horus of Behdet) with the Two Uraei
🍁Few things make it feel more like fall than the foliage of the red maple tree (Acer rubrum). But did you know? The deciduous tree sports something red all year round.
🔴In winter, it has red buds; in spring, red flowers begin to bloom; in summer, the leaf stalks turn red; and in autumn, the foliage is a vivid orange-red. This tree originates in the Atlantic Northeast but is a popular ornamental plant across the United States because it thrives in a variety of soil types.
This blog is mostly so I can vent my feelings and share my interests. Other than that, I am nothing special.
If you don't like Left Wing political thought and philosophy, all things related to horror, the supernatural, the grotesque, guns or the strange, then get the fuck out. I just warned you.
