It’s Christmas Eve and Elizabeth has just murdered her husband. As she tries to dispose of the body without waking her daughter, Elizabeth finds herself being pursued by a murderous madman in a Santa Claus costume who is definitely on the naughty list.
The seminal anthology show’s second episode is one of its very best. Some big, big names worked on this; it was directed by Robert Zemeckis, written by Fred Dekker, and shot by Dean Cundey! Their collective talent really shows in the final product, which is teeming with atmosphere and features what is, to me, the most hideous killer Santa in any visual medium. I make time for this episode just about every holiday season because it’s immensely entertaining.
Kinda makes you wonder what else they’re lying to you about, doesn’t it?
