The Dewey Lake Monster is usually described as a 10 foot tall Bigfoot-type creature with dark brown fur covering its body. Witnesses say it is somewhat aquatic as some have seen it under the water of the lake, it has a cone-shaped head, and bear-like claws.  The legend of this creature took off like wildfire in the summer of 1964 in Dowagiac, Michigan. There were thousands of people out around Dewey Lake, searching for the monster. Some eyewitnesses even claimed that the monster clawed up or flipped over their cars.

“[There] is no venue that can compete with the history, tradition and importance of the House Chamber,” the president tweeted. “I look forward to giving a ‘great’ State of the Union Address in the near future!”

Pelosi was quick to respond in a tweet of her own. “Mr. President, I hope by saying ‘near future’ you mean you will support the House-passed package to #EndTheShutdown that the Senate will vote on tomorrow.” The Senate plans to vote on two measures Thursday to end the partial government shutdown; neither is expected to pass.
