Anti-abortion extremists are among the most violent domestic terrorists
in America, having murdered and attempted to murder dozens of people
using firearms, firebombs and traditional explosives.
Pro-abortion extremists don’t exist, apart from a single,
self-described individual, Theodore Shulman, who threatened to kill (but
did not actually harm) two anti-abortion activists, and went to prison
for it.
Despite these irrefutable facts, the FBI circulated a warning to local
law enforcement, briefing them on the domestic terror threat posed by
pro-abortion extremists.
The warnings are similar to other FBI domestic terror and violence warnings – for example, on Black Identity Extremists and Juggalos
– in that they bear no relationship to reality, and target
marginalized groups generally on the left, while ignoring or minimizing
real, heavily armed, violent groups on the right who stand in opposition
to the FBI’s chosen targets.
The deep freeze is putting gas and power grids to the test.
In the midst of some of the coldest temperatures in years, utility companies in parts of the upper Midwest have asked customers to turn down their thermostats to ensure that there’s enough natural gas to go around.
Ahead of the plunge, grid operators throughout the Midwest had said they were prepared. But this cold snap will be a big test of the resiliency of the energy grid, reports the trade publication E&E News. “The event will be a test of the bulk power system’s resilience, and especially the ability of coal, natural gas and wind generation to deliver power when called upon.”
In Michigan, Consumers Energy — which serves 1.8 million residents — asked customers to set the temperature to 65 degrees or less until noon on Friday. In a Facebook Live video, CEO Patti Poppe pleaded with residents to do their part. The low temperatures created “record-breaking demand” for natural gas. The system worked perfectly, she said, until a fire broke out at a major natural gas compressor station Wednesday morning, making it harder to deliver gas to customers.
There is a recall on Tyson chicken. Please be safe.
Apparently there is rubber in about 18 tons of their chicken nuggets. If you have ANY Tyson products, though, I would be wary of them. Especially those of you caught in the Polar Vortex!
“Tyson Foods is recalling more than 36,000 pounds of
chicken nuggets that may have been contaminated with rubber, federal
officials say.
The products were recalled after the company received complaints of “extraneous material” found in its packaged White Meat Panko Chicken Nuggets,
the U.S. Department of Agriculture said Tuesday. Officials classified
the recall under the Class I category, meaning there’s “reasonable
probability” that consumption of contaminated food will cause serious
health consequences or death.”
This blog is mostly so I can vent my feelings and share my interests. Other than that, I am nothing special.
If you don't like Left Wing political thought and philosophy, all things related to horror, the supernatural, the grotesque, guns or the strange, then get the fuck out. I just warned you.
