Founded in 1974 Heaven’s Gate was a UFO religious millenarian cult led by Marshall Applewhite and Bonnie Nettles.
On March 26th 1997, 39 bodies were discovered. These 39 members of Heaven’s Gate had taken part in a mass suicide, this included Marshall Applewhite.
Strangely enough the group were against suicide, so they did not see their actions that day to be just that. They believed that Earth was about to be recycled and that they must evacuate by leaving their “vessels”.
This blog is mostly so I can vent my feelings and share my interests. Other than that, I am nothing special.
