Today’s poster is The Texas Chain Saw Massacre! This movie is as horrifying today as it was in 1974. The last 30 minutes are brutal and unrelenting and honestly hard to watch. A horror masterpiece.

On this day, 14 March 2017, Spanish woodworkers’ union militant and member of the anti-Franco underground, Joaquina Dorado Pita died in Barcelona just short of her 100th birthday. During the civil war she was actively involved in the collectivisation of the timber industry, and afterwards she escaped from a French internment camp and joined the resistance movement in Spain. She was repeatedly arrested, and was sentenced to 15 years’ prison in 1952 but was released early due to becoming seriously ill. https://ift.tt/2CknfPw

When future generations ask what my masterpiece was, this will be your answer. I kid of course. This is a wonderful way to open an episode however. Mt. Sinai is a real place located in Egypt, obviously if you were to go there now it’d be a lot different. What hasn’t changed are the ideals of the ten commandments, the episodes central theme, and there introduced here in a way that’s both informative and humorous.
