On this day in 1979, Don Coscarelli’s phear phantasy Phantasm manifested in theaters for the first time! More nightmare than film, Phantasm is a masterpiece of surrealist terror. With very little money (and even less sense), Coscarelli and co. crafted an exquisitely bizarre film that continues to disturb and perturb audiences. Angus Scrimm’s Tall Man went on to become an icon of fright, and Reggie Bannister remains one of the most unique heroes in the genre. If this one doesn’t scare you… you’re already dead!
This blog is mostly so I can vent my feelings and share my interests. Other than that, I am nothing special.
If you don't like Left Wing political thought and philosophy, all things related to horror, the supernatural, the grotesque, guns or the strange, then get the fuck out. I just warned you.
