Lisa Blount in Dead & Buried (1981)
We’re a little over halfway to Halloween and I’m still hyped up on a movie from seven months ago, so I decided to do a deep dive into the merchandising history of Michael Myers and the Halloween franchise, covering everything from the 1979 novelization up to the first NECA collectibles of the mid-2000s, as that’s what I consider to be the start of the merchandising boom we’ve been in ever since. There was a long time where Myers merch was few and far between, and I thought it would be fun to highlight those days and some of the eccentric, often fantastic things we got.
