How is the Governor of Oregon different from a South American dictator that the US wants to overthow? How is the plan she and her cohort want to ramrod through the legislature constitutional when it will economically destroy the plebs? This is democracy and the face of mob rule in 2019.
Holy balls, we are actually rounding up political dissidents in the Regressive West. Not criminals… but politicians who wrongthink.
What are they gonna do with them if they catch them? You know the politicos won’t say anything if you frogmarch them into the statehouse. Are ya gonna beat them until they vote?
1) the carbon cap is a great idea, giving incentive for companies to make positive change in order to maintain the bottom line in a way which allows companies to still opt out. I really wish my state would enact one
2) this is not rounding up political dissidents. This is a democratically elected state executive using power well within her rights to make sure that the essential job of legislation is actually done by the people who are ELECTED and PAID to do said jobs, who are presently playing a game of “I don’t like losing, so I’m gonna take my toys and go home.” This maunver on behalf of the GOP legislators may not be unprecidented, but that is far from making it right or acceptable, and it must stop.
3)I am a staunch second amendment supporter
4) make no mistake, what these officials are doing in running is not valiant or just.
4a) this is only made less just by threatening to use force on police officers who are simply doing their jobs in acting on fully lawful orders given by their governor. If they resist with force, they will be nothing more than a criminals, and should receive no mercy from the the state’s justice system
In conclusion: this situation is one of elected officials being childish and unlawfully standing in the way of doing the job which they were elected to do, and they receive no sympathy from me, only disgust
