It’s also, and I cannot stress this enough, proof positive for anyone who doubted that these people exist on fictitious capital. That money/value did not exist in any meaningful way. You couldn’t go to Tesla or SpaceX or PayPal or Elon Musk’s bank account and find that value. It’s pure speculation. Are Tesla making less cars? Is SpaceX doing fewer rocket launches? Are there fewer PayPal transactions happening? No just the people who decide how much shit is worth don’t want to be associated with Elon now that he’s publicly embarrassing them.
No longer must the citizens of Toronto fear sharp- dressed men in frock coats dubiously claiming to be members of the Prussian nobility, no doubt the work of some uncouth confidence man or somesuch chicanery.
