Sytech is a private sector contractor to FSB, the Russian spy-agency that is the successor to the KGB; on July 13th, hacking group 0v1ru$ defaced Sytech’s site and claimed to have hacked their internal network and stolen their files – this week, the Russian hacking group Digitalrevolution began to pass these files on to Russian media, claiming to have 7.5TB of data in all, making it the largest breach of any Russian spy agency in history.
The stories thus far reported reveal a range of secret internal FSB projects, including: a mass email-monitoring service keyed to sensitive phrases; a visualizing tool designed to aid in planning a disconnection of the Russian internet from the rest of the world; an old project for harvesting social media data from Myspace, Facebook and Linkedin; a Tor de-anonymizer that uses corrupt exit-nodes to gather data on Tor users; a P2P surveillance tool for Jabber, Bittorrent and other protocols; and a tool for manually removing entries from the Federal Tax Service database for people under state protection. …

CILICIA is the ancient Roman name for the southeastern region of Asia Minor (modern-day Turkey). It is referenced in the biblical books of Acts and Galatians, was the birthplace of Saint Paul, and the site of his early evangelical missions. The territory was first inhabited in the Neolithic Periodc. 8th millennium BCE and was under Hittite control by the 2nd millennium BCE before passing to the Assyrians, gaining its independence after the fall of the Assyrian Empire in 612 BCE, and was then taken by the Persians before the conquest of Alexander the Great in 333 BCE. After Alexander, the region became Hellenized and politically aligned with Syria which is why some major Cilician cities such as Tarsus are often identified as Syrian in ancient texts.
After Alexander’s death, the region was divided between the Ptolemaic and Seleucid empires. As the Seleucids began to lose power and influence over their part of the territory c. 110 BCE, the famous Cilician pirates emerged to fill the vacuum and exerted ever increasing control until c. 78-74 BCE when Rome intervened, conquering western Cilicia. Pompey the Great defeated and resettled the Cilician pirates by 67 BCE, and the region remained a province of the Roman Republic, Roman Empire, and Byzantine Empire until the early 8th century CE when it was taken by invading Muslim forces. The Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia flourished in the region between 1080-1375 CE before it fell to the Mamluks and was later incorporated into the Ottoman Empire in 1453 CE.
Per tradition, Scream Factory announced a slew of upcoming Blu-ray titles at their San Diego Comic-Con panel. In fact, it was their biggest announcement yet, with 14 new releases along with three action figures.
Blu-rays include: The Abominable Snowman, Big Trouble in Little China, Body Parts, Dr. Jekyll and Sister Hyde, Dracula, The Fan, The Fly collection, Let’s Scare Jessica to Death, My Bloody Valentine, Pet Sematary II, Prophecy, Road Games, Silver Bullet, and Universal Horror Collection: Volume 3.
They’re also re-teaming with NECA to create action figures of The Slumber Party Massacre’s Russ Thorn (along with a new Steelbook Blu-ray of the film) and Night of the Demons’ Suzanne and Stooge.
