Khafra was an ancient Egyptian pharaoh of 4th dynasty during the Old Kingdom. He was the builder of the 2nd-largest pyramid of Giza. The view held by modern Egyptology at large remains that the Great Sphinx was built in approximately 2500 BC for Khafra’ There is not much known about Khafra, except the historical reports of Herodotus, who describes him as a cruel and heretic ruler, who kept the Egyptian temples closed after Khufu had sealed them.
Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell (1974) w/Peter Cushing & Madeline Smith, dir. Terence Fisher
Frankenstein, hiding out in a lunatic asylum, takes on a young disciple. The last of the Hammer series is an okay entry, hampered by over-familiarity and a poorly-designed creature… Originally produced and shot in 1972, it eventually limped into cinemas in 1974 well after the appeal of British gothic horror films had dissipated…. There are many reasons “Frankenstein and the Monster From Hell” is a disappointment. Horror icon and director Terence Fisher just didn’t have it here. The story, on the surface, makes for a great horror tale. But, the acting and special effects are mind-boggingly bad.
