horses are inherently funny because they come in so many sizes. like draft horses
this looks so fake. this horses skull is bigger than the dudes entire torso. this horses NECK is thicker than the dudes entire BODY.
and then at the opposite end of the spectrum you have shit like this shetland pony which ALSO looks fake
what the hell happened to this thing who bred this line of ponies to be so ridiculous
fun fact, while most mini horses and ponies look fat, like the shetland above, some are genuinely just scaled down versions of regular horses
you look at this and think “wow that’s a horse i bet I could ride that” but you’d be wrong because this is an american shetty and it’s the size of a large dog
also fun fact, this is the world’s smallest horse, thumbelina
and this is the largest horse ever, brooklyn supreme
Statue of Ramesses II as a child and the god Hauron
This statue represents Ramesses II as a child, sitting in front of the
Canaanite
sun god Hauron, who is in the shape of a hawk. Ramesses is presented in the typical manner for an Egyptian child: naked, his finger to his mouth, with a large side-lock of youth hanging from the right side of his head.
He also has a uraeus at his forehead, and a sun-disc above his head. He holds the sw-plant in his left hand. It has been argued that the statue can be read to spell out the name of the king: the sun-disc represents Ra, the child is mes, and the sw plant is the final element Ra-mes-sw. The limestone face of the hawk was found in a separate location from the rest of the piece.
Granite, from Tanis. New Kingdom, 19th Dynasty, reign of Ramesses II, ca. 1279-1213 BC. Now in the Egyptian Museum, Cairo.

Okay, hot take? Bisexual and pansexual are functionally synonyms, and the decision to ID as one or the other comes down to personal preference and interpretation, and any attempt to further separate the two is driving a wedge between two communities that should have nothing but love and solidarity for one another.
We have more in common than not, and the words for our respective identities should not be pitted against each other.
Yeah with overlapping identities like this I just go for whichever one I like the pride flag the most.
That’s so valid.
There is a distinction between pansexual and bisexual but it is a very fine line, so fine that people who fit the definition for pansexual better may ID as bisexual instead for a variety of personal reasons and vice versa. But there is a distinction and acting like they are perfect synonyms can be quite invalidating.
Bisexual - attraction to multiple genders where gender is a factor within the attraction, and can include a preference for one gender over another, or attraction that feels different when it’s directed at a specific gender.
Pansexual- attraction to people regardless of gender. Gender is not a factor, you’d expect a blanket sensation of attraction regardless of which gender it is attracted to, and no sense of intuitive gender preference (though perhaps a logical one).
Notice that neither of these definitions actually exclude transgender or non-binary people and arguing otherwise is biphobic and transphobic. But there is still a distinction - practically, the issues they face and the relationships they will end up in are the same, but emotionally and subjectively they feel different.
Me reading the first post: I totally agree 100% quit telling me that calling myself bisexual means I’m transphobic
Me reading post four: OH I never heard that distinction before. Being attracted to masculine ppl DOES feel different to me than being attracted to feminine ppl. It never occurred to me that pansexual people experienced attraction different from me in that way. Today I have learned something.
Okay, so this is a better explanation than I have seen before, and I’m really glad it crossed my dash. *throws love and support @ my bi and pan friends across the globe bc they’re all valid*
I have never identified as pansexual because I’m not sexually attracted to all genders!
I’m panromantic, but I’m not sexually attracted to men, only women and nonbinary people (and I have a strong preference for femme nonbinary people). Because of this, I know very intimately why bi and pan deserve to be distinct labels even though they are very similar, and often have the same definitions.
On this day, 29 July 1910, residents of the the predominantly African-American town of Slocum, Texas, were massacred in an act of terror designed to preserve economic white supremacy. Hundreds of armed white racists attacked the town, gunning down black people as they hid in their homes, worked or tried to flee. The victims numbered from at least 8 to 25, but many believe the figure to be much higher. After the massacre, and the exodus of black residents, the racists stole their homes and property, and the town remains overwhelmingly white to this day. None of the perpetrators were punished, and none of the victims compensated.

This blog is mostly so I can vent my feelings and share my interests. Other than that, I am nothing special.
