Patiriella calcar, or Meridiastra calcar, commonly known as Carpet Sea Star or Cushion Sea Star or Eight-armed Sea Star, is an Australian species of sea star.
The Cushion Sea Star has eight short, distinct, triangular “arms”, though 7- or 9-armed individuals can be found. These “arms” are laterally fused together for some of their length, leaving ray-like tips of varying length to jut from the disk-like body. This species aboral surface can be any color or combination of colors, while the oral side is uniformly pale. This sea star attains a maximum diameter from arm tip to arm tip of 2-4 inches.
This week all immigration court employees were send a link FROM THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT to an article from VDARE. (Yes VDARE, as in avowed white supremacist Peter Brimelow’s website which is listed as a hate group.)
Every week the Justice Department sends the immigration court employees a briefing, these briefings also contain links to news on immigration. This week’s briefing had a link to VDARE to an article that directly attacked the sitting immigration judges with racial and ethnic slurs. In the linked article, the judges were also labeled with ‘kritarch" before their names - a deeply offensive anti-semitic reference.
The VDare post includes pictures of judges with the term “kritarch” preceding their names. Tabaddor said the term kritarchy is a reference to ancient Israel during a time of rule by a system of judges.
‘VDare’s use of the term in a pejorative manner casts Jewish history in a negative light as an Anti-Semitic trope of Jews seeking power and control.’”
A spokesperson for the Department of Justice is claiming that the email link was an accident and that the briefing was generated by a “third-party contractor,” and it “not reviewed or approved by the staff before it it transmitted.”
Sure, bro.
Oh hey look only a week later and now Trump is tweeting VDARE’s lion logo attached to his recent campaign video on Twitter:
“He doesn’t lie. He doesn’t lie,” McEnany retorted. “The press lies.”
She repeated that Trump “doesn’t lie” before stating, “Guess who lies? The press lies.”
“You don’t think this president has ever lied?” Cuomo quickly shot back, before speaking over McEnany and asking, “You don’t think the president has lied to the American people? You have to answer that question first. He has never lied to the American people?”
“I don’t think the president has lied. No, I don’t think the president has lied,” she responded.
