June 6 1966 - On this day in 1966, civil rights activist and war veteran James Meredith began the 220-Mile long March Against Fear through the state of Mississippi from Memphis to Jackson, by himself.
Getting hassled along the way by white Mississippians but remaining cheerful, he marched against racism and fear; encouraging black people to join him, to stand up and not to fear violence, and to register to vote. Despite police promising protection for his march, on the second day Meredith was shot with a shotgun by a white man hiding in the bushes along the road. (See the 4th and 5th gifs to see how urgently police deal with the shooter). Meredith was quickly taken to a hospital.
Other civil rights activists rallied at the news and vowed to complete the march in Meredith’s name. Meredith recovered from his wounds and rejoined the march before it reached Jackson on June 26, when 15,000 marchers entered the city in what had become the largest civil rights march in state history.
During the march, more than 4,000 black Mississippians registered to vote. [video]/[video]/[video]James Meredith, original antifa.
Sobek-Ra
Dua Sobek-Ra, Shining One, Lord of the Two Lands, Whose Two Eyes Light Up the Darkness! From the Middle Kingdom onward, the god Sobek had become associated with the sun-god Ra, initially as “He Who Devours the Enemies of Ra.” Later, in the 19th Dynasty, Sobek and Ra’s relationship had evolved- no longer was Sobek simply Ra’s defender, but certain hymns had even given Sobek the epithet “Ra Who Emerged From the Primeval Ocean”. This syncretic evolution continued in the Faiyum theology of the Ptolemaic period, most famously elucidated in the “Book of the Faiyum.” In this local monograph, Sobek was conceived the earthly body of Ra, the two uniting each night during the Solar Bark’s journey - not into the Duat - but into the waters of local lake Moeris. This syncretism reached its climax in the highly sophisticated theology of Kom Ombo, where-in Sobek was not just assimilated to Ra, but had developed into a new syncretized deity entirely, Sobek-Ra. Sobek-Ra’s spheres of influence extended beyond primeval creation, fertility, vegetation, and the inundation, to involve royal power and divine kingship, among other things. Sobek-Ra had become “the Primordial, who has created the Primordials,” the source of light, wind, the Nile water, the sun, and the moon. x

Fascists in Portland
This is hopefully gonna be a master post of important events that went down in Portland. No doubt the Proud Boys and American Guard are going to try and sweep their activity under the rug so we need to make sure itβs seen. Their narrative is that antifa are violent domestic terrorists and we are the source of conflict, this narrative is hard to maintain whenever they come out because they end up showing their violent nature. We need to call them out on it.
American Guard members opened a bus door to confront antifa, one wielding a hammer. Antifa outside grabbed the hammer and took it off them. This is being spun as antifa attacking with a hammer first. (gif of altercation)
The fascist American Guard was welcomed by Proud Boys upon their arrival. American Guard was founded by Brien James, former KKK, leader of the Indiana Proud Boys, member of Nazi bonehead gangs like Outlaw Hammerskins and the Vinlanders Social Club. Here Joey Gibson admitted he didnβt care white nationalists were marching with him.
Huh, for a group that keeps accusing us of domestic terrorism for wearing masks, they sure do wear a lot of masks. But maybe they only care if youβre ANTI-fascist.
This was most funny to me. The βBased Spartanβ brought his daughter along and together they went into the antifa crowd. Quickly he was overwhelmed and swung at everyone in range, soon him and his daughter fled and got a big police escort away.

On this day, 16 November 1984, 2,000 Black tenants were arrested near Johannesburg, South Africa for non-payment of rent. They claimed, truthfully, that they were unable to pay rent because they had burned down the rent office, but apparently the police did not consider this a valid excuse.
