Animal of the day: Virginia Opossum (Didelphis virginiana)
Opossums are native to North and Central America. They can vary considerably in size, with larger specimens found to the north of the opossum’s range and smaller specimens in the tropics.
When threatened or harmed, they will play dead, mimicking the appearance and smell of a sick or dead animal. This physiological response is involuntary (like fainting), rather than a conscious act.
Opossums have 13 nipples, arranged in a circle of 12 with one in the middle.

Lappkärrsberget is a residential area in Norra Djurgården in central-eastern Stockholm, Sweden. Located just north of Stockholm University, it is known for the approximately 2,000 student flats located there.
There is a tradition called “anxiety scream" that takes place in the area every Tuesday at 22:00, where residents open their windows and scream for several minutes. It is not known when the tradition started, but it is generally believed that it began as a reaction to the stress caused by university exams.
