Love how this is already shockingly disgusting and then at the end it’s just like “Errol Musk has also murdered three people.”

Today is Thanksgiving in the United States, or a National Day of Mourning for Native Americans in New England, or “Unthanksgiving Day” for some Native Americans on the West Coast. It commemorates pilgrims and Wampanoag people sharing an autumn harvest feast. However the colonists ultimately repaid the Native people by nearly wiping them out in centuries of atrocities and genocide.
Indigenous criticism of the colonial narrative of Thanksgiving is presumably the reason for President Donald Trump claiming there is a “war on Thanksgiving”. But conversely many liberal commentators over the last couple of days have attempted to erase this critique of Thanksgiving, arguing that all Americans love Thanksgiving.
We believe today is a good opportunity to reflect on the genocide against Native Americans, and learn about the resistance to it. This book is a brief overview of 500 years Indigenous resistance to colonialism in the Americas: https://shop.workingclasshistory.com/collections/books/products/500-years-of-indigenous-resistance-gord-hill https://www.facebook.com/workingclasshistory/photos/a.296224173896073/1277077342477413/?type=3
Four or so months in the life of some wee peppers (and one obscenely large tomato) living in a Huegelkultur raised bed.
All the peppers except the Hungarian Hot Wax which I seeded myself were free extras I took home from work when they were a few weeks old. They grew under lights from late March to mid-May.
Next time, they will not get planted so close together. I goofed and forgot to look up the spacing before planting because none came with tags. Also, our string and stake system did not work out, especially now that the peppers are very big and heavy.
I’ve only lost a few peppers to rot (ants eat holes in the peppers and then they turn to mush on the vine) and some minor slug damage. 10/10 would pepper again
