imagine how fucking out of touch someone would need to be to think this was a good line of attack, as if the average person is going to relate to talking shit about trump not being rich enough
the really fucked up thing is that the first time i saw that quote from bloomberg was in an article where a some pro-bloomberg dem senator was citing it as a really good talking point. saying that it really hit trump where it hurts.
like for all regular people obviously that joke is viscerally repugnant, but in the inner circles of power they really think that’s like, a Sick Burn that will resonate with average people. pointing and going “haha you’re not a billionaire, pathetic.”
