t*rget strike on may 1 but i kind of doubt that any of my coworkers could be convinced to participate. don’t want to be a scab but does it count if literally no one at your store is striking
it’s a sickout and i definitely will be calling out but there is an expectation that you’ll do work to organize your store if you do and i. don’t know if i can do that.
i don’t rlly know most of the people working overnights and i have extremely bad anxiety. wish i was better at this sort of thing and could live up to my ideals of being a union organizer
anyway if any of you work for t*rget this is the link being put out by the people coordinating the sickout:
most places in the usa do not have grocery delivery services and the places that do have them do not accept ebt food cards and even when you can afford it they don’t have strong safety regulations to prevent the spread of COVID-19 which is why people who self-isolate and only get delivery are still getting coronavirus.
It was agreed that prisons weren’t safe places and so poorly written laws were enacted to begin releasing prisoners and here we are locking up a perfectly innocent man because he has covid-19 … meanwhile the rich with the virus can sit comfortably in hospitals with every amenity they seek.
Get ready to bailout that poor, struggling oil industry - you know the industry that has billions in annual profits and that taxpayers already spend $20 billion a year subsidizing. Real man of the people here.
