What does one have to do with the other? As if the blue Angels are taking away food and healthcare from people…
The Blue Angels cost between $60,000 - $80,000 per hour to fly. They flew in almost 30 different cities. How about the government ground them and donate the $1.8m-$2.4m hour long stunt show money and give healthcare workers the better protection they’ve been asking for for 5 months now.
The blue angels aren’t taking away from healthcare workers, but this is a waste of government funds that are desperately needed elsewhere.
So I’ve seen a ton of people talking about donating to Planned Parenthood so I just wanted to remind people that there are 2 places to donate and the difference is SUPER important!
Planned Parenthood Federation of America is the healthcare side which takes care of all the stuff going on inside your local clinic. The website is blue, and any money it receives cannot go to any political or legal actions because of the government funding they receive. Their site looks like this:
Planned Parenthood Action Fund is the side which handles the politics. Their website is pink, they fund any legal actions, protests, rallies, any political thing you can think of they handle. Their site looks like this:
The action fund has already filed against Ohio’s 6 week abortion ban and are making moves to file against other states including Alabama. I know it’s a tough time for reproductive rights right now but the best way to help out is by donating money and staying involved.
How to Build a Kilowatt Wind Turbine for Under $30
This is a Vertical Axis Wind Turbine which uses wind energy to drive things like an alternator/generator for producing electricity, or air and water pumps for cooling, irrigation and similar.
The turbine uses the 35-40% mechanically efficient Lenz2 lift+drag design. It is made almost entirely from scrap materials, and should cost about $15-$30 for the six vane version, which can be made by two people in four hours without much effort.
The three vane version has been successfully survival tested to 80 km/h sustained winds and the six vane version to 105 km. Both will do more, but exactly how much has not yet been ascertained. The current longest running version has been up since early 2014, through reasonable storms, with no noticeable wear and tear as of yet.
