On this day, 28 September 1907, socialist revolutionary and anti-colonialist Bhagat Singh was born in India. He assassinated a British police officer, and bombed the Central Legislative Assembly in Delhi. An advocate of a mass working class uprising, he criticised Gandhi for the latter’s fear of the working class. He was executed by the British in 1931, and became a popular folk hero after his death.

In the Navajo Nation, Anarchism Has Indigenous Roots -
Anthropologists often describe k’é as the Navajo kinship system, but Benallie and Bahe told me it’s much more than that. “It’s our theory of everything,” Benallie said. “It’s our string theory. It’s how we’re connected to everything—but specifically how that kinship is reciprocated and maintained.”
K’é “is this huge overlapping philosophy that the whole universe is interconnected,” Bahe explained. “But it’s also these relationships that we have with one another and with the elements that exist in the world, whether that be the weather or the water or the animals.”
Although there’s a distinctly European language to describing contemporary anarchism, Benallie said he believes that the movement has long been influenced by Indigenous ideas.

Anonymous asked:
when did you fight Islamic terrorists who killed thousands of Christians in Pakistan, Nigeria and Iraq?
What a weird, ignorant question, Anon.
We’re guessing “by Islamic terrorists,” you mean Daesh/ISIS here. Antifascists don’t even consider them to be actual Muslims since they so clearly violate the key tenets of Islam and since they are more properly described as fascists.
Antifa have been travelling to Rojava and fighting Daesh/ISIS since at least 2015, Anon, joining the YPG/YPJand forming antifa taburs like the International Antifascist Tabur,
the International Freedom Brigade,
the International Revolutionary People’s Guerrilla Forces,
and the Queer Insurrection and Liberation Army
to name a few antifascist fighting units that have been on the frontlines against Daesh.
We hope this has been a lesson for you about why you shouldn’t try to own people on the internet without doing like five minutes of research, Anon.
Now that we’ve answered your question, Anon, let’s ask the same of you: what have you done to defeat Daesh/ISIS?
