Tipu’s Tiger, 18th century automaton made for Tipu Sultan, depicting his hatred for the British colonisers. The hand crank causes the soldier to move one harm nd emit a wailing sound, while the tiger emits a growl. A flap can open to reveal an 18-note pipe organ. Currently on display at the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.
