Mesopotamian Inventions
Mesopotamian inventions include many items taken for granted today, most of which were created during the Early Dynastic Period (2900-2334 BCE) or developed from achievements of the Uruk Period (4100-2900 BCE). The Sumerians are credited with the earliest inventions, which were further developed in the Akkadian Period (2334-2218 BCE) and then by later Mesopotamian civilizations.

this is not an onion headline
a trans woman was suspended from her job at netflix because she tweeted about dave chappelle’s transmisogyny and he’s a multimillionaire whining about being “cancelled” you cannot make this shit up
trans allies cancel your netflix subscription and put this under reasons why (and publicly post about it) challenge
also here’s the links to the articles
Many in the notes have pointed out that the reason for the suspension was that this trans woman tried to attend a meeting she wasn’t invited to.
Note the way in which the language used to describe the situation invokes images of violence and aggression.
Frequently it isn’t “tried to attend” it’s
“barged in”
“tried to force her way in”
“shoved their way in”
“crashed”
It’s not just on Tumblr either, anywhere this topic is being discussed this type of language is being used to describe the actions of this trans woman.
But why? Is it true? Well it was an online meeting. How exactly one “barges into” an online meeting is beyond me.
None of the numerous articles written about the topic at hand mention any adverse consequence caused by this trans woman attempting to attend this meeting. Yet both terfs and “allies” alike speak of it like they know for sure that it was some kind of aggressive and disruptive act.
Regarding the tweets, a Netflix spokesperson has even said “Employees are encouraged to openly disagree and we support their right to do so.”
How is suspending employees trying to address their concerns with the people who have the power to change things “encouraging open disagreement”?
At many other companies an employee attending a meeting they weren’t invited to doesn’t come close to a suspendable offense. It certainly seems to me that this suspension is implied retaliation for the tweets.
The terfs were never going to change but allies stop doing transphobes work for them by defending Netflix and baselessly describing trans women’s actions as aggressive and violent challenge
Hey y'all want a fun update to the “barging aggressively into a zoom meeting somehow” story?
She was sent a link to the meeting by one of the corporate directors
Oops! Their attempt to set her up failed

well. Yeah?
“Communists do not fight for personal military power (they must in no circumstances do that, and let no one ever again follow the example of Chang Kuo-tao), but they must fight for military power for the Party, for military power for the people. As a national war of resistance is going on, we must also fight for military power for the nation. Where there is naivete on the question of military power, nothing whatsoever can be achieved. It is very difficult for the labouring people, who have been deceived and intimidated by the reactionary ruling classes for thousands of years, to awaken to the importance of having guns in their own hands. Now that Japanese imperialist oppression and the nation-wide resistance to it have pushed our labouring people into the arena of war, Communists should prove themselves the most politically conscious leaders in this war. Every Communist must grasp the truth, "Political power grows out of the barrel of a gun.” Our principle is that the Party commands the gun, and the gun must never be allowed to command the Party. Yet, having guns, we can create Party organizations, as witness the powerful Party organizations which the Eighth Route Army has created in northern China. We can also create cadres, create schools, create culture, create mass movements. Everything in Yenan has been created by having guns. All things grow out of the barrel of a gun. According to the Marxist theory of the state, the army is the chief component of state power. Whoever wants to seize and retain state power must have a strong army. Some people ridicule us as advocates of the “omnipotence of war”. Yes, we are advocates of the omnipotence of revolutionary war; that is good, not bad, it is Marxist. The guns of the Russian Communist Party created socialism. We shall create a democratic republic. Experience in the class struggle in the era of imperialism teaches us that it is only by the power of the gun that the working class and the labouring masses can defeat the armed bourgeoisie and landlords; in this sense we may say that only with guns can the whole world be transformed. We are advocates of the abolition of war, we do not want war; but war can only be abolished through war, and in order to get rid of the gun it is necessary to take up the gun.“ -Mao
Ever wondered why most western countries have disarmed their populations? A disarmed populace is a passive populace.
