Politics As Product: Consumerism and Radicalism in a Time of Crisis
This is the most Qanon thing ever, tho.
Teenage girl: “Can you stop this harassment and craziness? I am absolutely *not* a human trafficking victim being secretly kept and sold in a cabinet.”
Qanon person: “Well, maybe you should be.”
If anyone has ANY doubt to how insane and entitled these chucklefucks are…yikes.
They have the “I am Liam Neeson in all his action movies” fantasies.
Don’t get me wrong, child trafficking does absolutely exist in the world and is a horror.
But child trafficking is almost certainly not a fancy furniture store deciding to randomly lock kids in cupboards and sell them online or Hillary deciding she liked both pizza and also BEING MEAN TO CHILDREN!
It’s more what Matt Gaetz was getting up to.

To me, the worst part isn’t even Rick Perry’s text messages, it’s the casual certainty he had that sending it to the Supreme Court would work to the GOP’s favor. And he’s right. For the most part, SCOTUS is an extension of the Republican Party and big business. And they’ve already stopped vote counts before (year 2000) and seated at least one Republican “president” who lost the popular vote.
If we really lived in a democracy, Mark Meadows, Rick Perry, Donald Trump, the entire Trump family and a slew of other people would at the very least be on trial for obstruction of justice or treason. But noap. No doubt the DNC and the Biden Administration won’t want to ruffle too many conservative voters feathers going into the midterms, so they’ll “pragmatically” 😒 wait for a better time. 🙄 Like after the midterms, after the Democrats lose the House and the Senate.
