Worth pointing out that less than two weeks ago these were the poll numbers for support of intervention in Ukraine:
The consent manufacturing machine is absolutely fucking insane and Americans are absolutely the easiest possible marks for it
Also it’s worth pointing out that this isn’t the result of top-down consent manufacturing coming from the halls of power. The official line of Biden, Johnson, and NATO is a categorical refusal of a no-fly zone over Ukraine or sending troops in because they know that would cause WW3. This ballooning of support for just that is the result of our fucking vicious bloodthirsty media and war hawk “journalists” beating the drums of war, as well as a calculated and obvious information war by the Ukrainian government and media to try and get direct NATO support.
Bad shit.
Also also it’s the result of USAmericans being really fucking stupid and not knowing what “no-fly zone” means
On this day, 7 March 1942, Lucy Parsons, anarchist, co-founder of the revolutionary Industrial Workers of the World union and lifelong advocate for working people, the homeless, women, and Black people, died in a house fire.
Born into slavery in Virginia to an enslaved mother, Parsons later moved to Texas and became a famous revolutionary firebrand. Instead of voting for politicians, Parsons advocated direct action to change the world, advising workers: “Never be deceived that the rich will allow you to vote away their wealth.”
As dangerous to the authorities in death as in life, after the fire the police confiscated all her papers and books. She was also the widow of Haymarket martyr Albert Parsons.
