Tl;dr: Demi Lovato went in IG today showing off some “Egyptian artifacts” that they recently purchased from the NOT SUSPICIOUS LOOKING AT ALL museumsurplus.com and a bunch of experts immediately called them out as being fake. Because you know ancient Egyptians are super-famous for making janky-ass eyes of Horus with sloppy crooked lines and lumpy asymmetrical statues of goddesses.
Also, they might be supporting ISIS and other terrorist groups who loot and destroy precious cultural heritage sites and then sell what they can. Hobby Lobby did the same thing!
It’s something you see a lot of in the historical fashion and historical photography market- stuff being marked as “mourning” or post-mortem when they clearly aren’t. So know what you’re looking at when you buy shit.
