If you want a good example of why I keep telling people not to make everything Weimar, here it is:
Florida has de facto become a one party GOP fascist regime, complete with a paramilitary to ensure that anyone who the GOP doesn’t deem worthy of the vote doesn’t vote. That’s what the headline actually means in plain English.
People looking for Weimar will miss this but this is happening today, after all the other unpleasantness DeSantis has been forcing in Florida. It’s not Weimar, it’s Jim Crow for the Information Age.
